Council Meeting Minutes December 6, 2016
Members present- Iris Atkins, Pastor Ron Hovick, Dawn Andrews, Georgene Nightingale, , David Perez, Nan Stufkosky, Paul Ford, Bob Lechner, and Tom Brosche, Gabby Gutierrez, Alicia Saenz, Gabby Gutierrez.
Non Members present (Non- members were present when meeting started and council asked for time for the executive discussion. All three left before executive discussion was completed.)- Rosalyn Nelson, Herbert Geire, Chris Lewis
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by President Iris Atkins. Pastor Ron began the meeting with a prayer.
Chris Lewis started off the meeting with a “Brain Storming” Session with the council for ways to make the Safari Learning Center project work on a smaller scale. Funding is tight issue even when moving for piece meal. Mr. Lewis asked that the council spear head the school project moving forward. Committee selected comprising of David Perez and Paul Ford. Pastor Ron Hovick and Georgene Nightingale will assist and advise as needed.
Council discussed and agreed to a Congressional Meeting for Jan 29, 2017.
Bob Lechner informed the Council that he was considering resigning.
Motion to approve September Council Meeting Minutes as made by Tom Brosche and seconded by David Perez and approved by all.
Motion to approve October Council Meeting Minutes as made by David Perez seconded by Paul Ford and approved by all.
Motion to approve November Council Meeting Minutes as made by David Perez seconded by Paul Ford and approved by all.
The Financial Report was given by Laura Ortiz. Laura informed the Council that there had been much improvement in donations. Motion to accept the Financial Report was made by Paul Ford, seconded by Dawn Andrews and approved by all.
Council meeting was adjourned at 9:15 P.M.
