Council Minutes, October 29 2017

Present: Alicia Saenz, Gabby Guttierez, Billy Cox, Skip Knudsen, Nancy Dreesen

Briefly discussed the following items:

Removal of freezer in Jacobson Hall, this should help with electric bills

Trees weakened by roots cut during Verizon work in parking lot, notify Chris L.

Water spigot leak where hose can be attached

Painting of JH black wall white to facilitate more rental of J.H. We need more income to help us in this time of transition. This will impact Glory Lutheran as Chinese letters will have to be carefully removed, also plain white wall can be used for power point by Glory. Perhaps letters could be replaced by banners that can be displayed during each worship.

It was noted that both ceiling and floor fans in J. Hall were left on all night on Friday, Oct. 27.  Will talk to Friday community group that meets in the hall.

We were asked if the corner of our property could be used as a water station for the Veterans Walk on Sat. Nov. 4 from 8:00-10:00 AM.  The Council approved as it wasn’t thought that it would interfere with the planned Fall clean-up day. The Veterans Walk supplies the water and snacks.  We supply 2-4 volunteers. Also we can hand out information about St. Mark’s to the walkers.

A motion was made, seconded and passed to give a 60-day notice to the Areumdaun Korean Church that in we were ending our rental agreement with them.
